BHS has 2 full-time onsite EAP Counselor jobs available immediately.  Both are for new BHS customers.  One is located in McLean, VA and the other is in Rockville, MD.  The one in Rockville requires a security clearance.  Already having one would be a plus!  In addition, prior or current experience working with BHS would be a plus!!  Please email Stephanie Gilotte at:  sgilotte@bhsonline.com with your letter of interest and resume.

 

Potential candidates must be licensed to practice independently (LCSW, LPC) and have at least 5 years’ post-graduate clinical experience providing EAP services to diverse client populations, including adult individuals, couples and/or families. Ideal candidates will also be CISM-certified or trained and experienced in critical incident/disruptive event response and have proven experience delivering high-quality trainings to corporate client companies.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

•             Provides face-to-face EAP assessment, referrals to outside resources and/or short-term problem solving sessions

•             Provides management and performance consultation to supervisors, managers and leaders

•             Provides crisis intervention

•             Provides response to critical incidents or disruptive events

•             Provides program promotion, employee orientation and training to supervisors

•             Provides support groups/facilitates “coach chat” discussions or support groups within areas of expertise

•             Develops relationships with key contacts

•             Provides expert organizational consultation and program troubleshooting

•             Identifies relevant trends and opportunities for additional program promotion and development 

•             Provides EAP representation at benefit fairs

•             Develops creative program promotional and engagement activities

•             Customizes and delivers educational seminars, skill-building training and wellness workshops within areas of expertise

 

Position Requirements

•             Master’s degree or higher in behavioral health from an accredited institution

•             Licensure or certification at the highest level available in the state of practice

•             Minimum 3-years’ post graduate clinical experience in the direct provision of mental health and chemical dependency services

•             Minimum 2 years’ experience providing EAP assessment, referrals and/or short-term problem-solving sessions

•             Experience in and documented formal Critical Incident Stress Management or similar training

•             Public speaking and training experience preferred

•             Dedicated to extraordinary customer and participant service 100% of the time

•             Strong interpersonal communication skills 

•             The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

•             Strong active listening skills  

•             Understanding of EAP industry trends, business practices, applicable laws and standard operating procedures

•             Ability to build trust, rapport and friendly relations with others
